  • A short relief from the cloud gives the impression of a split optical frame with no lower rim, a delicate detail like the mist that inspired it. A mist-shrouded loch is an enigmatic scene. As the water disappears into the clouded abyss, the definition between water and air becomes indistinguishable. Similarly, in the upper region of this two tone womens optical frame, the misty acetate merges into steely tones of grey, green and blue in a stylishly subtle colouration. In the lower section, the mist momentarily shifts to allow a sliver of crystal clarity. Like all our optical frames, this misty recangular frame has been cut and polished to perfection in our loch-side workshop in the outskirts of Glasgow. Our daily reminder of the inherent beauty of our surrounding land.

eyewear Inspired by elements of Scotland

Mist /mIst/ Loch Tulla, Central Highlands, Scotland

Adding to the enigma of Scotland’s lochs, eerie but beautiful overhanging mist has been the source of folklore and mythology for many generations. Clouding the surface of the dark water, semi opaque colours of steel, blue, green and black are an ominous but intriguing combination.
