Polarised sunglasses: Profile - RND-EBONITE

Size Guide
  • This short-run sunglasses frame is made from a very very hard rubber called Ebonite. An unusual material for sunglasses frames, but boy does it have its merits.

Previously used to make bowling balls in the 1900's, Ebonite can be polished to an incredible shine. Which is exactly what we've done. We've used 8 grades of increasingly fine polishing to achieve a high gloss and this unusually grippy surface finish, perfect for the generously sized nose pads. They perfectly cling to your nose when you're out and about. Paired with gold PVD coated temples, the swirl patterns of the vulcanisation match with these perfectly.

Fitted with our 2020 polarised lenses, they feature an anti reflective coating on the rear-surface of the lens to prevent light bounce back into your eyes. Made in limited numbers in September 2019, these are next year's lenses, today.
